Summer Celebration 2025: Nowt beats a day int’ countryside

Last week we shut our laptops, grabbed our wellies, and headed into the hills for a proper Yorkshire summer celebration.
Last week we shut our laptops, grabbed our wellies, and headed into the hills for a proper Yorkshire summer celebration.
There was sheep herding (with mixed results), welly wanging, mud, mayhem, and plenty of moments that wouldn’t make the brochure — but also a lot of laughter, a lot of fresh air, and a surprising amount of insight.

Because as much as it was about fun, it was also about shaking off the usual. Breaking the routine. Letting things get a bit chaotic on purpose.
And it worked.
We came back tired, grubby, and full of stories, but also feeling reconnected, reset, and reminded of something we talk about a lot at Edna.
Great creative doesn’t come from staring at a screen all day.
It comes from noticing things. From stretch and discomfort. From teams that feel human, curious, and up for trying something new.
This kind of play — silly, messy, outside the norm — is part of how we keep that spirit alive.

So while we won’t be changing careers to become pig farmers any time soon, we will keep making space for these kinds of moments.
Because creativity needs room to breathe. And sometimes, that room is a field full of sheep.
P.S Congrats team 'Strong Dads' for lifting the welly boot trophy!
