Trying counts too

At Edna, we care a lot about building a business that feels good to be part of. A business that treats people well. That makes thoughtful, creative work. That shows up in the world in a way we can be proud of.

And for us, that care has always included the planet.

But if we’re honest, figuring out what climate responsibility looks like for a business like ours hasn’t always been simple.

We’re a creative studio.

We don’t make products.

We don’t ship things around the world.

We don’t have warehouses or supply chains.

But we do take up space.

We do use energy.

We do fly to see clients.

We do create things that shape culture.

And that means we have a responsibility too.

Why 1% for the Planet?

This year, we became members of 1% for the Planet — committing to give 1% of our annual revenue to environmental organisations doing important, vital, often underfunded work.

It’s a simple idea. It’s direct. It’s transparent.

But it’s not a solution in itself.

It doesn’t cancel out the rest of our impact.

And it definitely doesn’t mean we’re done.

For us, this commitment isn’t about easing guilt.

It’s about raising our standards.

It’s about making care a habit — not a one-off gesture.

What comes next?

We’ll keep asking better questions.

→ How can we work in a way that’s lighter on the planet?

→ How can we design things that last, not things that clutter?

→ How can we use our creativity to support people doing the hard stuff?

→ How can we stay curious and accountable — always?

We know we won’t get everything right. But we know that doing something feels better than doing nothing.

That small things add up.

That trying counts too.
